The Mercedes-Benz Sailing Cup 2009 will be held on June 26th 2010.
The event is to be held in the North Sea, on the Nieuwpoort shores (Belgium).

- Notice
a) The Mercedes-Benz Sailing Cup is no regatta but a rally.
b) All information related to the race will be handed over during the briefing, from at 10.00 a.m., in the bar of the VVW-Nieuwpoort marina.
c) The jury is allowed at any time to disqualify a boat or a crew under the above mentioned notice.
d) The skipper is in charge of receiving the questions of the contest..
- Subscription place
All skippers can get information and subscribe at the Mercedes-Benz Sailing Cup infodesk, inside of the VVW –Nieuwpoort Marina, at 11, Watersportlaan, B-8620 Nieuwpoort.
- Participation flag and registration certificate
During the Mercedes-Benz Sailing Cup each boat willing to take part in the competition must be duly registered. During the event, each boat must fly the participation flag.
- Insurance
Each boat must have a civil liability insurance in due form. It may be checked during the subscription process.
- Subscription hours
Friday June 25th, from 20.00 till 22.00 p.m.; Saturday June 26th, from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.
The skipper must present himself in person during these subscription hours on Friday evening or Saturday morning. When subscribing the skipper receives a package for him and his crew including all the material required for the rally.
The skipper will then sign the notice of the Mercedes-Benz Sailing Cup..

- Ranking system
The ranking system is based on the number of points assigned by the jury. These points are given according to the answers to the questions about the art of sailing and/or Mercedes-Benz.
There will also be a practical sailing test.
